JOB DESCRIPTION
- Proficient in configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.
- Knowledge of network security practices, including firewall policy management, intrusion prevention, and access controls.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, The Dude).
- Familiarity with data center environments, structured cabling, and server room standards.
- Fortinet, Cisco, MikroTik, and Ubiquiti network devices
- Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP management
- Smart city platforms (e.g., command center systems, surveillance, smart poles)
- Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or hybrid networks)
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Able to explain technical matters to non-technical personnel.
- Service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills to support internal users and external stakeholders.
- Trustworthy, responsible, and capable of handling confidential network information.
- Able to work independently or in a team under pressure and tight timelines.
- Willing to be on standby or work outside office hours during emergencies or planned outages.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in enterprise network administration, preferably within a GLC, public sector agency, or telecommunications provider.
- Experience supporting Smart City platforms, surveillance systems, or IoT-related infrastructure is an added advantage
